BROOKLYN — A woman died after a minivan struck her as she crossed 49th Street in Borough Park Sunday night, police said.
Ethel Rubenstein, 69, was crossing the street at 11th Avenue when a northbound 2003 Mazda MPV on 49th Street hit her about 10:30 p.m., the NYPD said.
Rubenstein was rushed to Maimonides Hospital with severe body trauma and was pronounced dead, police said.
The van's driver remained on the scene and was not charged, police said.
