QUEENS — A man lured a 12-year-old girl walking in South Ozone Park into his SUV and sexually assaulted her Sunday afternoon, police said.

The girl, whose identity was not released, had been walking with two others when the silver SUV pulled up beside them near Lincoln Street and 116th Avenue about 2:30 p.m., the NYPD said.

Sources said he flattered the girls, talking about their looks and asking if they wanted to be models, before zeroing in on the victim.

The man then drove to another nearby area and sexually assaulted her, a police spokesman said.

The victim fled to a friend's house nearby, and the friend called 911, police said.

The girl was treated at Queens General Hospital and released, police said.

Investigators described the suspect as a man in his 20s, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. He had black hair, brown eyes and a beard, police said.

He was last seen wearing red sneakers, a red jacket, a red and white baseball cap, blue jeans and a chain that hung to his waist, the NYPD said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
