THE BRONX — An off-duty FDNY firefighter was arrested after slashing a Bronx bartender's face with a glass bottle early Friday morning, according to police and reports.

Craig Frey, 38, who has been a firefighter for 11 years, attacked the bartender in Brewski’s Bar & Grill in Throgs Neck about 1:14 a.m. on Friday after a verbal dispute, according to police and a New York Post report.

He was taken into custody and charged with assault.

Frey was released on bail after being arraigned, according to the Department of Correction, and will be back in Bronx Criminal Court on Nov. 21.

He has also been suspended without pay, a Fire Department spokesman said.
