WILLIAMSBURG — The organic food giant Whole Foods cleared its next hurdle this week to open on Bedford Avenue, developers said.
The giant supermarket, slated to be 35,000 square feet, secured a loan to move construction forward for a mid-2014 opening, said Jonathan Stern, the managing director of Meridian Capital Group, which brokered the loan.
The loan was for $45 million, Real Estate Weekly first reported, and the building will take up a whole block from Bedford Avenue to Berry Street on North Fourth Street.
