LONG ISLAND CITY — Fans of Amy's Bread can now buy their goods in Queens — and fresh from the source.

The company recently opened a retail outlet at its Long Island City headquarters at 48-09 34th St., meaning the goodies for sale come straight from its bread and pastry kitchens, according an announcement on its website.

Items at the outlet space will be offered at a 10 percent discount, compared to regular Amy's Bread retail stores, and will include a select menu of muffins, scones, sticky buns, croissants, sandwiches and salads, plus a selection of the handmade breads the company is known for.

The Long Island City outlet will be located in a small space inside the front entrance of the building, and will be open for takeout only Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., though customers are told to call ahead, as hours may vary.

Amy's Bread currently has three regular stores in Hell's Kitchen, the West Village and in Chelsea Market, according to its website.

The company moved its baking facility to Long Island City last year after more than 20 years in Manhattan.
