QUEENS — Food lovers can head to Queens this week and next for the borough's annual restaurant week celebration, where more than 50 eateries will be offering dining deals and prix fixe menu specials.

The specials will be offered this week through Thursday, and next week from Oct. 7 to 10. The promotion is a program of the Queens Tourism Council that aims to showcase the diverse culinary flavors that the borough has to offer.

"Queens Restaurant Week allows diners to enjoy some of the tastiest dishes from around the world without having to spend a lot or travel very far," Queens Borough President Helen Marshall said in a statement.

Most participating restaurants will be offering special prix fixe menus, with lunch for $14 and dinner for $28.

At Croatian eatery Veslo in Astoria, diners can enjoy a three-course dinner menu, where the entree choices include a seafood medley of shrimp, mussels, scallops, clams and sea bass in a chopped tomato and white wine sauce, served over pasta.

Burger lovers can head to Woodside, where Ottomanelli Burgers & Belgian Fries is offering a $14 deal that includes two burgers, two orders of regular fries and two drinks.

5 Napkin Burger in Astoria is also in on the promotion, with a prix fixe dinner menu that includes a glass of house wine or draft beer, choice of appetizer and entree — including the signature 5 Napkin Burger, which comes piled with Gruyere cheese, rosemary aioli and caramelized onions.

"This is the most delicious bargain in New York City," Seth Bornstein, director of the Queens Economic Development Corporation, said in a statement.

A full list of restaurants participating in Queens Restaurant Week can be found on the Queens EDC's website.
