SUNSET PARK — A girl was struck and killed by an SUV while crossing the street in Brooklyn Thursday afternoon.
Kiko Shao, 5, was running northeast across 55th Street towards 5th Avenue about 3:23 p.m. when a Cadillac Escalade traveling down the block hit her, according to police.
The young girl was rushed to Lutheran Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
The 28-year-old male driver remained on the scene, according to the NYPD.
The driver has not been charged and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
