Weekend Subway Work to Disrupt 13 Lines

NEW YORK — The UN General Assembly disrupted traffic above ground all week. This weekend the roads should hopefully clear up a bit, but the usual weekend subway work could make for some longer trips below ground.

Here is the breakdown by line:

1 Line: There will be no service between 14th Street and South Ferry from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Riders can take the 2 or 3 trains instead or catch a free shuttle bus.

Trains will also run express in both directions between 34th Street-Penn Station and 14th Street. 2 and 3 trains will run local between Penn Station and 14th Street.

4 Line: Downtown trains will run express from 125th Street to Grand Central from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday, from 11:45 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

5 Line: Bowling Green-bound trains will run express form Dyre Avenue to East 180th Street from 5:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 7:45 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Trains will also run every 20 minutes between Dyre Avenue and Bowling Green from 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

6 Line: Downtown trains will run express from 125th Street to Grand Central from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Pelham Bay Park-bound trains will run express from Parkchester to Pelham Bay Park from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday.

A Line: There will be no service between Euclid Avenue and Lefferts Boulevard or Howard Beach-JFK from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday. Trains will operate in two sections:

• Between 207th Street and Euclid Avenue
• Between Howard Beach-JFK to Far Rockaway.

Shuttle buses will run between Euclid Avenue and Howard Beach-JFK, making all subway stops. There will also be a non-stop bus between Euclid Avenue and Howard Beach.

Downtown trains will also run local from 125th Street to 59th Street from12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

E Line: Jamaica-bound trains will run express from Roosevelt Avenue to 71st Avenue from 12:15 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday from 12:15 a.m. to 5 a.m. Monday.

D Line: Coney Island-bound trains will run local from 145th Street to 59th Street from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

F Line: Coney Island-bound trains will be rerouted over the M line from Roosevelt Avenue to 47th-50th streets from 11:15 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Jamaica-bound trains will also skip 75th Avenue and Van Wyck Boulevard from 12:15 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

G Line: The MTA continues its post-Sandy recovery work on the G train, knocking service out between Court Square and Nassau Avenue. Trains will run between Nassau and Church avenues.

Free shuttle buses operate on two routes:
• Via Manhattan Avenue between Nassau Avenue G and Court Square
• Via McGuinness Boulevard between the Lorimer Street L and Court Square

L Line: There will be no service between Lorimer Street and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Trains will run between 8th Avenue and Lorimer Street and between Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues and Rockaway Parkway.

Free shuttle busses will run between Lorimer Street and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues.

Q Line: Manhattan-bound Q platforms will be closed at Cortelyou Road, Beverly Road and Parkside Avenue.

N Line: There will be no late-night service between Court Street and Whitehall Street because of post-Sandy work to the Montague tunnel. Trains will be rerouted over the Manhattan bridge.

R Line: Forest Hills-bound trains will run express from Roosevelt Avenue to Forest Hills-71st Avenue from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

There will also be no service in either direction at Jay Street-MetroTech, Court Street, Whitehall Street, Rector Street, Cortlandt Street and City Hall. Trains will run over the Manhattan Bridge.
