QUEENS — Bottoms up.

Two Western Queens eateries will play host to beer-centric events this week, including a lamb cook-off and an all-you-can-eat oyster feast, both paired with craft brews.

The events are part of a "beer week" promotion organized by Get Real Presents, an events company founded by Patrick Donagher, owner of craft beer bar Alewife NYC, at 5-14 51st Ave. in Long Island City.

The Queens festivities will kick off at Alewife Monday night with "Lamb Jam Masters," where participants will get to sample lamb dishes from 6 different chefs who are competing for the title of "Best Lamb Chef."

The $50 general admission ticket will also include unlimited wine and craft beer tastings and a lamb butchering demo.

On Tuesday night, new Astoria bar Katch, at 31-19 Newton Ave., will host "Mystery Tap Night," where customers can pay $12 to sample five rare craft beers, and will be asked to guess which brewery each came from.

Those who pair beers to their source correctly will be eligible for prizes, like a free bar tab at Katch or tickets to future Get Real Presents events. All participants will also get a pint of their favorite sampled beer.

Head back to Alewife NYC this weekend to wrap up beer week with "Oystoberfest," a shellfish feast that will run Friday night and Saturday.

For $65, attendees have access to an all-you-can eat raw bar featuring 25 different varieties of oysters, washed down with unlimited samples of cask ales, Oktoberfest and pumpkin beers.

Beer Week will also feature events and promotions at bars across the city. For a full schedule and to purchase tickets, click here.
