THE BRONX — A man grabbed a 60-year-old in a choke hold, stabbed him repeatedly and then ran off with his cellphone Tuesday night, cops said.

The suspect followed his victim into the lobby of an Intervale Avenue building where he attacked him about 10:40 p.m., according to the NYPD.

In a surveillance video released by police, the suspect, dressed in a grey hoodie and sweatpants, runs into the lobby after the victim. The suspect followed him up a short flight of stairs, grabbed him from behind, and dragged him down the stairs in a choke hold.

After the suspect wrestled the victim toward the ground, he leaned down and grabbed his cellphone, according to the video.

The suspect was accompanied by a woman who acted as a lookout during the attack, police said.

The victim was rushed to Lincoln Hospital where he was listed in stable condition, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
