QUEENS — Aviation High School in Queens was briefly locked down Wednesday after a 15-year-old student brought a BB gun into school, officials said.
The young man was found and taken into custody at the school, which is located at 45-30 36th Street, and the gun was confiscated.
The incident happened about 2:35 p.m., according to the fire department. They went to the school to provide emergency medical support, but there were no injuries.
It was not immediately clear how he was first spotted with the weapon.
Charges against the student are still pending, a police spokeswoman said.
