NOHO — Every little thing the Public Theater does is magic.

That’s what Sting fans might be thinking when they hear that the theater will be hosting the former Police frontman for 10 intimate concerts — and handing out free tickets to the shows.

A lottery will take place several hours before each performance, giving fans the chance to see an intimate concert in which Sting will perform music from his upcoming album, “The Last Ship.”

“The Last Ship” is scheduled for release on Sept. 24, and the shows will take place daily at 8 p.m. from Sept. 25 through to Oct. 9.

At 5:30 p.m. on the day of each show, concert-hopefuls can fill out entry cards for the lottery, requesting one or two tickets. Winners will be drawn at 6 p.m. and attendees must be present in order to claim the tickets.

A minimum of 10 free tickets will be given out for each performance. A limited number of benefit tickets are still available for purchase. To learn more, visit the Public Theater website.
