THE BRONX — A woman was killed crossing the street just blocks from her Soundview home early Sunday by a driver that fled the scene, police said.
Maria Dulce-Valencia, 27, was found by police responding to a 911 at around 5:07 a.m. lying in the intersection of Evergreen Avenue and a Bruckner Boulevard service road, cops said.
An investigation found that Dulce Valencia was trying to cross Evergreen Avenue when a black sedan, headed westbound on the service road, struck her and then took off, police said.
No arrest had been made by Sunday afternoon, but an investigation was ongoing, cops said.
