WILLIAMSBURG — South Williamsburg native Antonio Reynoso beat scandal-plagued politician Vito Lopez to represent Bushwick and South Williamsburg for City Council, and City Council Member Stephen Levin kept his spot representing Greenpoint and Williamsburg in Tuesday's primary elections.

Reynoso won 49.2 percent of the vote, or 5,753 votes in the 34th District, compared to Lopez, who received 37.2 of the support, or 4,345 votes.

Meanwhile the 33rd District City Council Member Stephen Levin won 71 percent of the support, or 11,598 votes, while his challenger Stephen Pierson earned 29 percent, 4,742 votes.

The results were from the Democratic primaries, but no candidates are running on the Republican ticket for the 33rd and 34th Districts.
