MANHATTAN — A shoplifter at a Sephora makeup store in SoHo tried to make off with more than $2,700 in goods last week, police said.

Katherine Krukowski, 33, tucked 69 items worth a total of $2,739 into a shopping bag from another store and tried to leave without paying about 8 p.m. last Thursday, a store security guard told police.

She was caught when the guard at the 555 Broadway store searched her bag, police said.

Krukowski was arrested by 1st Precinct officers and faces two felony charges for grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, court records show. Krukowski was arraigned on Friday and released. She's due back in court Nov. 25.

Her court-appointed lawyer declined to discuss the charges.
