CHELSEA — Cops released sketches of two men they suspect of carrying out an anti-gay beating near Ninth Avenue in Chelsea earlier this week.
Michael Felenchak, 27, and his partner, Peter Notman, 53, had just gotten out of a movie at Chelsea Cinemas on West 23rd Street and Ninth Avenue about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday when they were approached by two men who hurled anti-gay slurs at them, cops said.
"What are you looking at, f----t?" one of the attackers shouted, cops said.
The suspects then began kicking and punching Felenchak and Notman, police added. Three to four other men then joined in on the assault, cops said.
The suspects fled north on Ninth Avenue, according to cops.
"We were trying to run, but they were pulling at us and and kicking at us and punching us, trying to stop us," Felanchak told reporters after the attack.
The first suspect is described as a brown-eyed, black-haired man last seen wearing a white T-shirt.
The second is also described as brown-eyed with black hair, about 16 to 20 years old with tattoos on his chest and both arms.
