WILLIAMSBURG — A heated, well-lit bubble covering the tennis courts won't be hitting McCarren Park this fall as planned.

Players will have to wait another year, until October 2014, for the dome at Bedford Avenue and North 12th Street, city officials said.

"The concessionaire has to do some prep work for the bubble including the installation of grade beams," said a spokesman for the New York City Parks Department, "so it won’t be ready to open this fall."

When the court does open, players will have to pay hourly or seasonal fees to use the dome, a Parks Department spokeswoman previously said.

Hourly rates will run between $37.50 and $57.50 and seasonal rates will range from $975 and $1,495, depending on the times players wish to use the courts, the spokeswoman Meghan Lalor said. Senior citizens receive a $15 hourly discount and a 10-percent seasonal discount.
