WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg waterfront may be filling with condos, flea market shoppers and outdoor movies — but there's still room for the occasional blubbery sea creature.
A spritely seal shimmied onto the rocks at East River State Park Thursday morning, as a local resident's video captured. The animal landed at the park's only swath of sand, Gothamist first reported.
The harbor seal, wrongly identified in the YouTube video as a sea lion, appeared in good shape according to the Riverhead Foundation. It swam into Brooklyn just a few days after another one was spotted in the Bronx.
