NEW YORK CITY — A man died early Tuesday morning when his Lexus flipped over after slamming into a median on the Staten Island Expressway, cops said.
Derrick Kearse, 36, was traveling westbound along the expressway just after 1 a.m. when his SUV struck the median near the Martin Luther King Expressway and overturned, according to the NYPD.
Kearse, who was the only person in the car, was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash, cops said.
