HAMILTON HEIGHTS — Police have arrested a Hamilton Heights man in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred inside his home Aug. 2.
At 11:20 p.m., NYPD responded to a 911 call of a man stabbed inside a residence near the intersection of Broadway and West 142nd Street. There, they found a 49-year-old with one stab wound to his chest. The victim was taken to Saint Luke’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
On Aug.3, police arrested Michael Patalano, 48, who faces charges of second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
According to sources who spoke to the NY Post, Patalano stabbed the victim, his neighbor, after a fight between the two about how to divy up stolen goods.
The victim had not been identified by police pending family notification.
