
NEW YORK CITY — A motorcyclist died Tuesday morning after he ran his Yamaha through a red light and slammed into a MTA bus in Oakland Gardens, cops said.
Mauricio Galdamez, 21, was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Union Turnpike when he blew through a red light at Springfield Boulevard and plowed into the bus's driver's side window, according to the NYPD.
Galdamez was rushed to Long Island Jewish Hospital in cardiac arrest, police and FDNY officials said.
He was later pronounced dead, cops said.
