HARLEM — Self-serve wine will soon be flowing at a new upscale bar in Harlem.
The Park 112, a restaurant and wine bar opening in August at Frederick Douglass Boulevard and West 112th Street, will feature an electronic Enomatic machine, which stores individual bottles at their ideal temperature and dispenses glasses at the touch of a button.
Diners will be able to pour themselves a small taste or a whole glass on the machine, paying instantly with a reloadable wine card.
"The Park 112 reinvents the wine experience by offering a unique exploration [of] our respectable wine list through self-service enomatic machines as well as wine and prosecco on tap," the wine bar said on its website. "Our resident sommelier and attentive mixologist provide friendly guidance that match each patron with the perfect spirit."
The owners hope to open in early August, the blog HarlemGal Inc. reported.
The Park 112 will also offer a mixologist-crafted cocktail list and an American fusion-inspired menu of large and small shareable plates, including seafood stew, stuffed brazino fish and lamb with sorrel barbecue, according to the website.
The restaurant's bar sits in a main dining area of large, leather banquettes, and The Park 112 also features a communal table that seats 20 and an area for private parties. In warm weather, the restaurant will open a sidewalk café and back patio area.
