Cops Seek Green Hoodie-Clad Alleged Bank Robber in Chelsea

CHELSEA — It's not easy being green — especially when you're trying to rob a bank.

Police are looking for a man who attempted to rob a Chelsea bank while wearing a bright green hoodie.

According to the NYPD, the man, who was also wearing a beige cap and sunglasses, demanded cash from a teller at a Chelsea Bank of America branch on the afternoon of May 18.

When the teller walked away from the window, the man fled the location without taking any money.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
