QUEENS — Celebrity chef and "Bizarre Foods" host Andrew Zimmern is heading to Queens this fall, hosting a sausage-and-beer tasting event at the Studio Square beer garden in Astoria.
Tickets went on sale recently for the Oct. 20 "Oktoberfest" event, which is being offered as part of the New York City Wine and Food Festival.
Admission costs $95 and includes tastings of an array of German-inspired fare like sausages, wursts, and cured meats, plus samples of Zimmern's own new line of Pat LaFrieda sausages.
The Boston Beer Company will provide the libations, including samples of Sam Adams beers brewed exclusively for the event.
