BROOKLYN — Temperatures are soaring across the city and outdoor water sprinklers are the perfect remedy for kids to keep cool while staying out in the summer sun.

These neighborhood playgrounds are typically open from 8:00 a.m. to dusk, according to the Parks Department's website.

DNAinfo New York has compiled a list of neighborhood water sprinklers in Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens and Red Hook:

Carroll Park: In front of the Robert Acito parkhouse, the Carroll Gardens water sprinkler is found on Carroll Street between Smith and Court Streets. Brooklyn’s third oldest park also has a playground for children, basketball courts and a number of nearby eateries.

Dimattina Playground: The unique star-shaped water sprinkler is just one way to pass the time at Dimattina Playground, surrounded by Rapelye, Henry and Woodhull Streets, which also has a children's play area and a nearby baseball field.

Gowanus Playground: The neighborhood playground, on Wyckoff Street between Bond and Hoyt Streets, has a single sprinkler along with a children's play area, handball and basketball courts.

Boerum Park: The children's playground and spray showers, together, create a great neighborhood spot for kids, found on Baltic Street between Hoyt and Smith Streets.

Red Hook Park: There's more than one way to sweat it out (and keep cool) at Red Hook Park with spray fountains, found at Henry and Lorraine Streets, a community pool, basketball courts and barbeque areas.
