NEW YORK CITY — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in a Briarwood intersection Monday morning, the FDNY said.
The pedestrian, whose identity was not immediately released, was struck near Parsons Boulevard and 85th Avenue about 8:30 a.m., a fire spokesman said.
Witnesses who called 911 said the pedestrian was a child, but neither FDNY nor NYPD officials could not immediately confirm the pedestrian's age.
The pedestrian was taken to New York Queens Hospital, officials said.
Witnesses told police that the vehicle remained on the scene, an NYPD spokesman said.
