MIDWOOD — A driver with two passengers in the car fatally smashed into a tree in Brooklyn, police said.
Zahurul Alam, 20, was driving the 2001 Lexus northbound on Ocean Avenue, near Avenue J, police said, with two other passengers aged 20 and 23 inside, when he lost control of the car and crashed into a tree, according to police.
Alam was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two passengers were rushed to Lutheran Hospital and in stable condition.
Police were investigating the crash on Sunday.
