HUNTERS POINT — A new 12-story rental building being constructed in Hunters Point will start leasing next week — the latest in a steady line of amenity-filled luxury apartments opening on the Long Island City waterfront.

The Lightstone Group's 199-unit Gantry Park Landing, at 50-01 Second St., will begin leasing July 12, offering a mix of studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments that range from 460 to 1,256 square feet.

Rents start at $1,875 for a studio, $2,450 for a one-bedroom, $3,250 for a two-bedroom, two-bath and $4,650 for a three-bedroom, three-bath home.

The building was designed with an "industrial" aesthetic to pay homage to the neighborhood's manufacturing past, with an exterior made from exposed poured concrete and floor-to-ceiling glass.

In a statement, Lightstone Group CEO David Lichtenstein said the building's size makes it "a finely tailored alternative to the large scale properties that are commonly found along the waterfront.”

"Gantry Park Landing offers a more boutique setting that provides renters with a stronger sense of community and lifestyle,” said David Maundrell, president of aptsandlofts.com, which is marketing the building.

The property also boasts a list of perks for potential renters, including a furnished roof deck with an outdoor grill and fireplace, a game room with ping pong and billiards, a gym with a yoga studio and a pet spa.

The building is the latest the ever-growing line of developments along the Long Island City waterfront, including the city's planned Hunters Point South complex. And developer TF Cornerstone opened its fifth high-rise in the neighborhood at 4545 Center Blvd. this spring.
