CHELSEA — Liquiteria, the popular fruit and veggie juice chain, is opening up two new locations in Chelsea and Union Square.

Known for its cold-pressed juice made from fresh ingredients — and its hefty price tag — the new locations will mark the juice staple's first expansion since opening up shop in the East Village in 1996.

The new Chelsea location will open the week of July 21 at 102 Eighth Avenue, complete with a grab-and-go food menu, including sandwiches, wraps, and cereal, to compliment the juicery's liquid menu. In September, the Union Square location will debut at 26. E. 17th St.

Made from a variety of fruits and vegetables, Liquiteria's claims that its method of cold-pressing ingredients to get their juice contains more vitamins, minerals, and enzymes than any other juicing method. According to the juice experts there, each $6 to $9 bottle comes with a whole range of health benefits.

The store also offers $99 to $200 juice cleanses, along with personal cleansing coaches to help "support you during your cleanse and coach you through the process."

The expansion comes as Liquiteria's biggest competitor, fellow pricey juicers Organic Avenue, now has a sizable cold-pressed juice empire, with 10 locations in Manhattan.
