10 Subway Lines Affected by Construction This Weekend

NEW YORK CITY — New Yorkers hoping to celebrate during Sunday's NYC Pride March will have a little bit of trouble getting to Christopher Street, where the parade ends.

Because of construction, the 1 train will not run south of 14th Street. The 2 and 3 trains will be running local between 34th Street and Chambers Street, meaning they'll likely be crowded for Pride-goers.

The line is one of 10 lines that will be affected by service changes this weekend, along with the 4, 5, A, D, E, F, J, M and Q trains, according to MTA officials

Here's what's coming this weekend:

1 Train

From 11:30 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday, no trains will run between 14th Street and South Ferry due to ongoing construction. Trains will run express between 34th Street-Penn Station and 14th Street.

Straphangers can use the 2 and 3, which will run local between 34th Street-Penn Station and Chambers Street, along with free shuttle buses between Chambers Street and South Ferry.

4 Train

From 11:45 p.m. to Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday, Woodlawn-bound trains will not stop at 138th Street-Grand Concourse.

5 Train

From 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, uptown 5 trains will skip 138th Street-Grand Concourse.

A Train

From 12:01 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, uptown-bound A trains will run local from 59th Street-Columbus Circle to 168th Street due to track work.

D Train

From 12:01 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, uptown-bound trains will run local from 59th Street-Columbus Circle to 145th Street.

E Train

From 12:01 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jamaica-bound E trains will run local from Roosevelt Avenue to Forest Hills-71st Avenue.

F Train

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Jamaica-bound F trains will run express from West 4th Street to 34th Street-Herald Square.

J Train

From 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday, Jamaica-bound J trains run express from Myrtle Avenue to Broadway Junction because of track work as Kosciusko Street.

M Train

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday, the M train will not run because of station work at Fresh Pond Road, Forest, Seneca, Knickerbocker and Central Avenues.

Free shuttle buses will run between Metropolitan Avenue and Myrtle Avenue.

Q Train

From 10:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday, Manhattan-bound Q trains will run express from Sheepshead Bay to Kings Highway because of track work at Sheepshead Bay.
