Detectives Hunt Man Believed to Be Responsible for Flushing Sex Assault

NEW YORK CITY — NYPD detectives in the 109th Precinct are searching for an armed man they say sexually assaulted a Queens woman near Union Street.

Police released a grainy surveillance tape of the suspect walking down the street in Flushing wearing baggy shorts, a baseball cap and a light-blue shirt.

They said on Saturday June 22 the suspect forced his way into the 46-year-old victim's address carrying a gun stuffed into the waistband of his pants and sexually assaulted her.

She was taken to Queens General Hospital where she was listed in stable condition, cops said.
