PARK SLOPE — Finding parking at one of Park Slope's most well-regarded restaurants just got easier — for cyclists.

The city's Department of Transportation on Tuesday installed a "bike corral" in front of Rose Water on Union Street and Sixth Avenue. The bike-parking racks, which are flanked by two flower-filled planters, will provide permanent on-street parking for at least eight bikes. Tuesday's installation was first reported by Park Slope Stoop.

Rose Water owner John Tucker told DNAinfo in March he was inspired to request the bike corral after he saw one in front of Gorilla Coffee on Fifth Avenue. "I'm a big supporter of traffic-calming measures and anything having to do with bikes and promoting bike and pedestrian traffic in NYC," Tucker told DNAinfo.

Facebook fans of Rose Water, a New York magazine "critic's pick," seemed to like the new addition. "Those bike racks are going to be packed for weekend brunch!" wrote one excited diner.
