Ambulance Slams Into Van Outside Harlem Hospital

HARLEM — An ambulance struck a minivan just steps from Harlem Hospital Thursday afternoon, leaving five people hurt, officials said.

The crash took place just after 1 p.m. at West 135th Street and Lenox Avenue, according to an FDNY spokesman. 

Officials said two of the victims were EMS workers driving the ambulance, while the other three were civilians traveling in the van.

No one was seriously hurt, and all five were taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition, according to a Fire Department spokesman.
