TIMES SQUARE — Sell the matinee seats and strap on the shoulder pads — Times Square is making way for the football faithful.

Super Bowl XLVIII, the NFL championship game scheduled to be played in New Jersey in February, plans to transform Broadway from 34th to 44th streets into "Super Bowl Boulevard" next winter.

From Jan. 29 to Feb. 1, the Great White Way will feature a slew of fan-friendly activities, including football-toss contests, zip lines, photo opportunities with the Vince Lombardi Trophy and giant mockups of Roman numerals XLVIII, and a seven-story slide painted to look like a snow-covered "Toboggan Run," which the NFL is hailing as "the statement of Super Bowl Boulevard."

The attractions, shown in a promotional video distributed by the NFL, were first reported by the Daily News.

The Super Bowl takes place Feb. 2 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
