BRONX — A young mom was and her girl baby were struck by an out-of-control driver that jumped a curb in Longwood Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

Dramatic video footage aired by WABC-TV New York shows the livery car swiping the 17-year-old mother and her 10-month-old daughter, pinning the baby's stroller underneath the vehicle. Both mom and child managed to come away with only minor injuries, cops said.

The 68-year-old unidentified driver was declared dead after the crash, which took place about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

Cops say the man was driving south on Prospect Avenue near Westchester Avenue when he lost consciousness, striking two other cars on the road before careening onto the sidewalk. The car then struck the young mother, who was holding the infant in her arms, according to police.

The man's identity was not released pending family notification, cops said.
