HAMILTON HEIGHTS — A 4-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital Monday night after a 911 caller reported the child had ceased breathing, an FDNY spokesman said.

Rescuers received the call at 6:18 p.m. from a six-story residential building on West 135th Street near Amsterdam Avenue, the FDNY reported. Responders attempted to resuscitate the girl as she was being transported to St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital, said the spokesman.

It was unclear whether the incident was linked to any injuries, consumption or accident, the official said.

No further information was immediately available Monday night.
