BROOKLYN — A 53-year-old man was struck and killed while walking along the Belt Parkway in Bensonhurst early Sunday, police said.
The man, who was not immediately identified, was walking in the left lane of the westbound Belt Parkway, near Exit 5 at Bay Parkway, when he was hit by a 2013 black Nissan Altima just after midnight Sunday, police said.
Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The Nissan's driver, a 45-year-old man, remained at the scene and was not charged, police said.
