HUNTERS POINT — The Long Island City waterfront is getting a taste of the beach this summer.
A new luxury high-rise at 4545 Center Blvd. that began leasing Monday boasts a massive outdoor space on its seventh-floor terrace that will include beach-volleyball courts with real sand, among other extravagant amenities.
The 41-story building's 50,000-square-foot outdoor space will also house two tennis courts, a reflecting pool, a dog run, a large lawn and a sun deck with barbecue grills and lounge areas, according to a press release from developer TF Cornerstone.
The company starts leasing the building this week, offering studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments — with rents starting at $2,300 a month.
“Our newest tower has reinvented residential living along Long Island City’s waterfront,” Sofia Estevez, TF Cornerstone's executive vice president, said in a press release.
“4545 Center Boulevard is a perfect match for residents looking for a healthy and spacious neighborhood with the excitement and convenience of city living."
The building includes other luxury amenities, like a fitness center, indoor parking garage, 24-hour concierge and valet service, and a children's play center that features both indoor and outdoor playgrounds.
4545 Center Blvd. is TF Cornerstone's fifth high-rise to open on the Long Island City waterfront, along with two other rental buildings and one condominium property. The company is currently building a sixth development nearby, at 4610 Center Blvd.
