CONCOURSE VILLAGE — A 13-year-old girl was struck by a car in the Bronx on Friday morning, fire officials said.

The girl, whose identity and condition were not immediately available, was hit at the intersection of Grand Concourse and East 167th Street, authorities said.

A witness said the girl was crossing eastbound to the north side of Grand Concourse when a car going through a green light collided with the girl.

"[The girl] flew, she hit the windshield, then she fell on the pavement," said Juan Tavera, who saw the accident. "She was moving her extremities, but by the time the police and firemen arrived, she wasn't moving anymore."

Tavera said the driver seemed to be traveling at normal speed at the time of the accident.
