NEW YORK CITY — A Bushwick dollar store was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

Shortly after 3 p.m. on Tuesday, a man walked into a Family Dollar store at 1165A Broadway brandishing a gun and demanding money from the store clerk, according to police.

The employee complied, and the suspect escaped, police said.

Police described the suspect as between 45 and 60 years old, between 5-foot-6-inches and 5-foot-8-inches in height, weighing between 170 and 190 pounds.

He was last scene wearing a black hat with a black do-rag underneath, a brown jacket and blue jeans. He was also wearing glasses and had a grey beard, police said.
