MIDWOOD — Police are hunting for a man suspected to grabbing a 71-year-old woman’s purse and knocking her to the ground in Brooklyn.
The robbery took place on Thursday, May 2 about 4:50 p.m. near the intersection of East 7 Street and Avenue H, police said.
Police described the suspect as a black male between 25 and 30 years old, about 5 foot-7 inches, slim build wearing a black ski hat and all black clothing.
He crept up behind the woman as she walked on the street, grabbed the purse, knocked her over and ran away.
The NYPD is asking anyone with information on the crime to call 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
