Worker Severely Burned in Astoria Metal Workshop Accident, FDNY Says

 A worker burned his arm during an accident within Empire Metal Finishing Inc. at 24-69 46th Street in Queens suffered burns from some type of incident on the premises.

NEW YORK CITY — A worker was severely burned by a hot liquid during at a metal workshop in Astoria Tuesday morning, an FDNY spokesman said.

The accident occurred about 10:12 a.m. at 24-69 46th St., which houses Empire Metal Finishing Inc., fire said.

The victim was severely burned and was taken to a nearby hospital, a fire spokesman said.
