WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Liam Neeson is bringing his brand of action uptown this weekend, a local official has announced.

The movie star will shoot scenes of "A Walk Among the Tombstones" on West 181st Street between Cabrini Boulevard and Pinehurst Avenue on Saturday and Sunday, State Sen. Adriano Espaillat's office announced Thursday.

Sunday's filming will involve a simulated car crash and fake gunshots.

IMDB lists "A Walk Among the Tombstones" as an action movie in which Liam Neeson plays a private investigator hired by a drug kingpin to find out who kidnapped and murdered his wife.

NYPD movie unit representatives will be on hand to monitor the filming and ensure safety of the community.

In advance of the filming, parking will be restricted on both sides of the street in the following locations:

► Saturday, May 4: West 187th Street between Pinehurst and Fort Washington Avenues, West 187th Street Between Overlook Terrace and Bennett Avenue, Fort Washington Avenue West 185th and West 190th Streets.

► Sunday, May 5: West 181st Street Between Fort Washington Avenue and Riverside Drive, Cabrini Boulevard 1/2 block north of West 181st St.

Uptown Manhattan is no stranger to filming. Last week "Law and Order: SVU" made headlines when it filmed a scene involving the discovery of a dead woman in Inwood Hill Park, the real life site of the 2004 Sarah Fox murder.
