NEW YORK CITY — Two boys were hit by vehicles in the span of a half-hour in Brooklyn Thursday morning, fire officials said.

At 8 a.m. Thursday, a boy's foot was run over by a school bus near the intersection of 12th Avenue and 40th Street, according to fire officials and a grocer nearby.

At 8:36 a.m., a 12-year-old boy was injured when a car plowed into him at Bath and 24th avenues near the Bath Playground in Gravesend, FDNY officials said.

The boy was taken to Lutheran Medical Center with a head injury, an FDNY spokeswoman said. The other boy was also taken to Lutheran Medical Center, officials said.
