17-Year-Old Arrested After Bringing Knife to High School, Cops Say

GREENPOINT — A 17-year-old student was arrested Monday and charged with bringing a knife into his Brooklyn high school, cops said.

The student, whose name is being withheld because of his age, was caught with a 3 1/2-inch knife when he went through the scanner at Automative High School at 50 Bedford Ave., about 10:00 a.m., NYPD officials said.

The student was expected to be charged with criminal possession of a weapon and has an open warrant for disobeying park regulations, cops said.
