NEW YORK CITY — A female special education teacher allegedly carried on a nine-month sexual affair with a 15-year-old male student, according to the city schools investigator.

Evelyn R. Rogers, 33, who has been only teaching at the High School for Innovation in Advertising and Media since 2011, was arrested on third degree rape charges Thursday morning after a weeklong investigation, said Special Commissioner of Investigator Richard J. Condon.

“We went out and we interviewed the teacher and we interviewed the student. Both told us that they had been having sexual intercourse going back to August of last year,” Condon told the New York Post. “We conferred with the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office and they told us to arrest her.”

Sources told the Daily News that the tryst took place in the married instructor's car.

The $54,329-a-year teacher had sex with the teen "on multiple occasions" at an undisclosed location in Brooklyn over the past year, authorities said. The boy is now 16.

The city Department of Education said the teacher has been reassigned and and the department is looking to fire her.
