NEW YORK CITY — Twelve people were hospitalized after a school bus got into an accident in Queens Wednesday morning, an FDNY spokesman said.
One person sustained serious injuries and 11 others were taken to the hospital with minor injuries when a small school bus got into an accident near 115th Avenue and Van Wyck Expressway, in Ozone Park, about 7:30 a.m., fire said.
All 12 were taken to Jamaica Hospital and another person refused medical attention at the scene, the spokesman said.
The circumstances of the accident were not immediately clear.
