PARK SLOPE — Two people were injured when a van careened into a Park Slope deli early Wednesday, an FDNY spokesman said.

Two vans, one black and the other white, slammed into each other about 6:15 a.m. at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Ninth Street, sending the white vehicle into the Deli & Smoke Shop on the eastern corner, witnesses and fire officials said.

Two people were take to New York Methodist Hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries, the fire official said.

Two others refused medical attention at the scene, the spokesman added.

The driver of the van that crashed into the storefront declined to comment while nursing an apparent hand injury.

Firefighters were still on scene an hour after the smahsup checking the building's structural integrity, he added.
