TRIBECA — A fire broke out in the basement of a small TriBeCa sushi restaurant at 3 a.m. Monday morning, officials said.

The blaze at JR Sushi, a small Japanese restaurant at 86 W. Broadway, was knocked down in about 40 minutes by firefighters, FDNY officials said. No one was injured in the blaze, officials said.

The restaurant, which sits on the ground floor of a 5-story residential building, suffered little damage, a building manager said.

After some cleanup, the restaurant will reopen in a couple of days, according to the manager. Viewed through an open doorway, the small sushi spot seemed intact Monday afternoon.

FDNY officials said the reason for the fire was still under investigation.
