Man with Fake Cop Badge Robs Bronx Bodega, NYPD Says

NEW YORK CITY — A man brandished a fake police badge and real gun while robbing a Bronx bodega in March, cops said.

The man barged into the store at 182 E. 166th St. about 8:25 p.m. and ordered all the customers into the back, according to the NYPD.

Surveillance video of the incident shows the suspect stick a gun in the face of a bodega clerk before swiping an undetermined amount of cash and what appear to be lottery tickets.

The suspect, who is believed to be in his late 30s, about 5-foot-7-inches, and approximately 160 pounds, was last seen wearing black hat and a green sweater under a black jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
